Repairs
Cotswold Clocks specialises in the repair of long case, bracket, wall, carriage and most other types of mechanical clock. We make any required new parts by hand.
All of our repairs carry a full one year guarantee.
Home Visits
We provide a home visit service for collection and delivery, assessing clock problems and for setting up. Our setting up service is comprehensive and includes, for example, pendulum clocks and long case clocks.
Restoration
The levels of restoration are discussed and no-obligation cost quotes given. For a full restoration the mechanism is fully dismantled, thoroughly cleaned and any damaged or worn parts repaired or replaced. After re-assembly the mechanism is, of course, fully tested. Any damage or wear to the cabinet is repaired and the finish is returned to its orginal appearance using traditional methods.
For more examples of completed restorations please visit the Gallery pages.
We also undertake dial restoration including re-silvering dials and restoring painted dials etc.
Replacement Parts
I make many types of clock replacement parts in the same style and material as required for the work in hand.
I also have a large selection of antique clock parts built up over my working life, these can be very useful in lesser value clocks repairs.
We are located in the town of Bicester, North Oxfordshire and frequently visit London, Cheltenham, Birmingham and Newbury. Our clients are located across the whole of the UK.
